As a candidate taking the examination, it is of utmost importance to meticulously adhere to all policies and procedures established by IBCA. This will ensure a fair examination process for all candidates and maintain the integrity of the examination. It is imperative to familiarize yourself with the guidelines provided by IBCA beforehand to avoid any potential breaches of conduct during the examination. By adhering to these policies and processes, all candidates help ensure that the examination is conducted in a just and unbiased manner and that all candidates have an equal opportunity to succeed.
Examinees are not allowed to bring or keep personal belongings in the exam room, including mobile phones, tablets, e-readers, digital wristwatches, electronic dictionaries, or any other device except the laptop/computer being used to appear for the exam.
During the exam, examinees are not allowed to take breaks or leave the exam room. They must also remain seated for the entire exam duration and not relocate.
Examinees must ensure that all browser tabs and applications are closed and signed out of during the exam. This is especially important when using a work laptop or computer. Notification pop-ups from emails, chat applications, or other sources could cause the exam to be immediately terminated.
Examinees are strictly prohibited from copying the exam questions, taking screenshots, or recording any part of the examination. After the exam has been administered, examinees are not allowed to publish or share the examination content in any format. All examination and connected materials are the intellectual property of the Investment Banking Council of America (IBCA). Any misconduct, intentional or otherwise, by the examinee during or after the administration of the exam, including any attempt to violate IBCA’s exam policies and procedures, will be considered a violation of the policies and may result in strict penal action.
Any misconduct or use of unfair means during the examination is strictly prohibited. The proctor holds the right to terminate the exam if an examinee creates any disturbance during the exam, is not visible on the screen, or fails to comply with the examination procedures and policies. The proctor's decision is final when resolving any conflicts or disputes related to the dismissal of an exam due to misconduct. Examinees are not allowed to appeal the final decision regarding any violation of exam policies.
