CIBP™ Candidacy Requirements
Aspiring candidates for the CIBP™ should possess a strong foundational understanding of key areas critical to success in investment banking and related fields. These include portfolio management and asset management principles, corporate finance frameworks, investment analysis methodologies, and financial modeling techniques. A working knowledge of capital markets, accounting practices relevant to financial decision-making, and an awareness of the global business environment is also highly recommended. Eligibility Tracks for the CIBP™ Program
For Experienced Candidates
Track 1: For candidates with an MBA or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting, currently employed in investment banking, M&A, Private Equity, Financial Engineering, or similar roles.
Track 2: For candidates holding a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in investment banking, M&A, Private Equity, Financial Engineering, or similar roles.
For Current Students
Track 3: For students currently enrolled in or recently graduated from BBA, BSc, BCom, or Master's programs in Finance, Accounting, or related fields at business schools and institutions affiliated with IBCA or accredited by AACSB, AMBA, or EQUIS.
For Credential Holders
Track 4: For Bachelor's degree holders with an active professional credential from recognized bodies such as the CFA Institute, AICPA, USPEC, GARP, IMA, CIMA Institute (USA), or CAIA.
